What is Reiki and how does it work?
Reiki is an energy healing technique that promotes relaxation, reduces stress and anxiety through gentle touch. Reiki practitioners use their hands to deliver energy to your body, improving the flow and balance of your energy to support healing.
Reiki therapy is based on an Eastern belief that vital energy flows through your body. The idea is that a Reiki practitioner uses gentle touch — or places their hands just above your body — to help guide this energy in a way that promotes balance and healing.
A Japanese man named Mikao Usui developed reiki in the 1920s. The term comes from two Japanese words: “Rei,” which means universal, and “ki,” which loosely translates to a lifeforce of energy. While there’s no research to show that the energy field involved in Reiki exists, you may find it relaxing.
What is Seichim?
Seichim is ancient and sacred. It is an advanced form of hands on healing having sounds and symbols.
This system of hands on healing initially appears to be the higher degrees of Reiki.
How can Reiki help you?
Reiki has been studied for conditions like pain, anxiety, and depression. It’s a complementary treatment, which means you use it along with proven traditional medical treatments. It doesn’t cure or get rid of any health conditions by itself.
Reiki practice may help with a variety of physical and emotional problems, including insomnia, stress, depression, anxiety, and pain. For example, research suggests that Reiki may lower anxiety, stress, and pain in people undergoing surgery.
Reiki is linked to a range of physical and emotional health benefits, including better sleep, improved mood, and pain relief in published studies. Research suggests Reiki helps the body return to a state of relaxation, which allows it to potentially better heal from damage brought on by stress, injury, or disease.
The word “Reiki” is a combination of two Japanese words: “rei,” which means “God’s wisdom,” or “the higher power,” and “ki,” which means “life force energy,” according to the International Center for Reiki Training.
What to expect in a treatment
Reiki helps with relaxation, anxiety, pain management, and depression. the intention is to guide the flow of healthy energy (what’s known in Reiki as “life force energy”) through the client’s body to reduce stress and promote healing.
Reiki is a form of complementary and alternative medicine; there’s evidence it can reduce daily stress and help with management of some chronic diseases.
All distant healing is specific, using a photo, visual image, full name and location of person receiving. I draw symbols over the person, plus an invocation and affirmations to connect with you to receive the healing.
Seichim works on the complexities of acute and chronic diseases as well as anxiety, fatigue, depression, frustration and other symptoms produced by stress.
It is a channeled energy, that comes from a source outside of ourselves of Living Light Energy.
In comparing Seichim to other energy-healing modalities, you will find a tremendous difference in strength and power.
Duration of treatment
Reiki can be incorporated with a bodywork treatment if in person or a distant healing of 60min – 90min
